Our client with terminal ovarian cancer has secured a €2 million settlement against the HSE, facilitated by our firm. The case centred on the failure to refer her for genetic testing despite a family history of ovarian cancer. The settlement, reached without an admission of liability, acknowledges the HSE’s oversight in not recommending genetic counseling earlier. This lapse, our legal team argued, contributed to her diagnosis being delayed until her cancer was at an advanced stage.
